# Pillwise

> Pillwise is a medication lookup API for US apps. Index searches medications the way people name them, gives form and strength choices, and resolves NDCs and RxCUIs, with recalls and shortages. Every answer says when it was true. Cabinet (optional, under a BAA) stores each member's medication list.

Base URL: https://api.pillwise.dev. Auth: `Authorization: Bearer <key>`. Sandbox keys (`pw_test_`) are free for 500 lookups a month; production keys are `pw_live_`. The typical flow is `GET /v1/drugs/search?q=`, then `GET /v1/drugs/{id}/form-options` for form and strength.
